Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Collins (born in Mexico) is the Mexican American journalist. She currently works for ESPN as a anchor for SportsCenter and sometimes hosts SportsNation. She joined ESPN in 2016. joined ESPN. She is the daughter of TV reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is a bilingual woman and has been so since when she was nine years old. The ability to speak two languages helped her to get her first job at Univision, Miami. She could work alongside national producers on shows such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. She was hired as a reporter for CBS St. Petersburg. CBS St. Petersburg affiliate in the following year. After 2009, the news reporter relocated into Rio Grande Valley Texas where she worked for KNVO TV 48 Univision as and Fox2 News. Covering stories related to drug trafficking and immigration on both sides the Texas-Mexico border, she was a news reporter for the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 at 5 pm. She was as a reporter for news in English at 9 pm and the news anchor was on until 10pm, before returning to channel Spanish channel. She also filled in for sports anchors and weather forecasters. Deportes 23 was Univision Dallas affiliate and she assumed additional responsibilities. She covered The Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series, the Dallas Cowboys as well as the NBA Postseason as well as the Finals FC Dallas FC Dallas Stars. She also produced Univision 23 Accion Deportiva Extra and anchored it. She also served as the sports anchor of Despierta America Deportes morning show. It was the same role for Primer Impacto magazine and Contacto Deportivo on UniMas Network. Antonietta Collin's parents were originally from Veracruz Mexico. They moved at some point towards Mexico City, where Antonietta Collins was born in November of 1985. She is the elder sibling of her parents. The family in 1992 left Mexico and relocated to Miami. Then, shortly afterward, her parents separated and in the year 1995, Fabio Fajardo was remarried. He passed away from kidney cancer in 2006. The summer in 2006 she took a week with her sister at Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl was working at the time. Antonietta was about to graduate from high school, however she knew what she was going to be doing. The result was that she liked the campus and that the school offered the major she wanted. After graduation, she enrolled at the University as a major in media studies. Her professor Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM and was part of the class, established an ongoing relationship with the student. Professor Bergmann was a great influence on her by his passion for journalism. Additionally, he profoundly influenced her.
